Tom Brady. Tim Tebow. This is exactly the kind of game that flex scheduling was created for, but it's the exact type of game that the original broadcast rights owner wants to keep.

That's where we stand on Wednesday, as NBC and CBS have gone beyond their deadline of Tuesday at midnight to decide whether the Dec. 18 game between the Patriots and Broncos will be moved from 4:15 p.m. ET to 8:20 p.m. ET, according to multiple reports.

The decision, ultimately made by the NFL and not the networks themselves (according to The Boston Globe's Chad Finn), is expected to be made on Wednesday, so stay tuned.

Baltimore at San Diego is currently the game scheduled for Sunday night.
