Goalie Michael Hutchinson got a taste of the TD Garden ice on Monday afternoon.

General manager Peter Chiarelli announced that the B's recalled Hutchinson from the Providence Bruins because the B's allowed NHL All-Star goalie Tim Thomas to take Monday off, along with his fellow All-Stars Tyler Seguin and Zdeno Chara.

Hutchinson will be reassigned after practice, which was held at the TD Garden, according to the team.

Hutchinson, the 77th overall draft pick in 2008, has played in 12 games for Providence this season, serving as the primary backup to Anton Khudobin. He's compiled a 3-8-0 record with a 2.62 Goals-against average and .915 save percentage.
