A few Red Sox hurlers will be eligible for the Hall of Fame within the coming years. And while Pedro Martinez seems like a lock, and Roger Clemens‘ candidacy is hindered by his link to performance-enhancing drugs, Curt Schilling is the ultimate toss-up for some.
Not for NESN’s Peter Gammons — who is a Hall of Famer himself.
Gammons feels that Schilling is undoubtedly a Hall of Famer, which is likely a sentiment echoed by many Sox fans who still have visions of the right-hander battling for seven innings against the Yankees with a bloody sock in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS.
