It’s that time of year when names are dangled, rumors spread, and money is thrown around like confetti. European soccer’s transfer window opened on Jan. 1, and some big names could be on the move.

Liverpool FC has been linked with a number of players in recent weeks, including Darren Bent, Luuk De Jong and Esteban Granero, just to name a few. Some may think the club has holes to fill, but LFC won’t discuss potential deals until they are sealed. It’s standard practice for most teams, actually.
