With Bill O’Brien signing on with Penn State, the Pats are going to need a new “O” boss — and a good one, at that.
The team has reportedly put in a request to speak with Josh McDaniels, who manned the Pats sideline just a few years ago before venturing off to Denver to coach the Broncos.
A couple of current Pats coaches — tight ends coach Brian Ferentz and wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea — have also been mentioned as a possible replacements for O’Brien, as well.
Pat Hill, who served as the head football coach at Fresno State University from 1997 until his dismissal following the 2011 season, is also considered a possibility to step in next year.
