Zdeno Chara admits that serving as a team captain for this year's NHL All-Star festivities was a lot more work than he initially thought it would be. But that didn't stop the Bruins defenseman from having a great time.
Chara said he and the rest of the Bruins players and staff in attendance had a blast at this weekend's events. In fact, Chara even capped the weekend off with the game-winning goal in the All-Star Game — something he didn't even realize until asked about it.
Chara was also honored by the reception he received in Ottawa this weekend. The big defenseman spent four seasons with the Senators from 2001-2006, and the crowd showed Chara a great deal of respect during the events, despite him going against Team Alfredsson.
