Danica Patrick didn't exactly start off on the right foot.
Patrick wrecked early in Saturday's season-opening Nationwide Series race, spinning into the wall after getting nudged by JR Motorsports teammate Cole Whitt on lap 50.
This is Patrick's first full season in stock-car racing, as she's making a full-time transition from IndyCar to NASCAR. She'll be running a full schedule in the Nationwide Series and participate in 10 Sprint Cup races, including Sunday's season-opening Daytona 500.
Patrick started Saturday's race out of the pole position after becoming the first woman to win a NASCAR pole since Shawna Robinson in 1994.
Patrick also crashed on the final lap of a qualifying race for the Daytona 500 on Thursday, although she may not be to blame for either of the wrecks.
