Who said there was nothing on the line?

It probably wasn’t the hardest foul you’ve ever seen, but the damage was done, as Dwyane Wade drew blood on Kobe Bryant during the NBA All-Star Game.

Bryant spun around Wade and drove to the basket in the third quarter of Sunday’s exhibition, but the Miami Heat star wasn’t content just letting Bryant add two more points to his impressive All-Star Game resume. Instead, Wade grabbed Bryant’s jersey and wrapped his arms over Bryant’s shoulders as the Lakers guard rose up at the basket.

The play resulted in a flagrant foul on Wade and a bloody nose for Bryant. Wade likely didn’t mean to get so physical — as it appeared he was just trying to put Bryant at the free-throw line — but he also didn’t appear to be in any hurry to apologize.

In any event, it was an interesting side note and something you usually don’t see in what has become a rather lackluster midseason event.
