Jeremy Lin Befriends Kris Humphries, Tells Him Knicks Fans' Boos Aren't RightJeremy Lin and the New York Knicks came up short in their comeback bid on Monday night, falling to Tri-State rival New Jersey Nets, 100-92.

Knicks fans spent much of the night heckling Nets players, as is customary when conference rivals come to town, but most of the "boos" seemed directed toward one player in particular — New Jersey forward Kris Humphries.

Humphries has been the subject of all sorts of hate since his 72-day marriage with model Kim Kardashian ended in a divorce late last year, but he has received even more attention from the New York faithful.

Lin took some time to talk with Humphries after Monday's loss, telling the Nets forward that all the boos were undeserved.

"I saw him in the tunnel outside the locker room after the game," Humphries said in an interview with ESPN's Scott Van Pelt on Tuesday.

"He's a really nice guy," Humphries added of getting to know Lin. "He just said, 'Hey, I don't know why they boo you, but I think it's crap, and you're playing really well.' That was nice of him to say. He's a really nice guy."

Even amidst the boos, Humphries put together a solid night on Monday, scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to help the Nets snap their five-game losing streak.

Humphries also talked about Lin's rapid ascent to the top of the NBA and his international popularity saying, "It's nice to see great things happen for nice people."
