Mark Sanchez Asked Santonio Holmes to Be His Valentine

Valentine's Day is a time for loved ones to come together and celebrate. And after the way the Jets fell apart during the end of last season, no one was expecting them to come together for anything.

Then Mark Sanchez decided to surprise all of us, and deliver the news that the Jets' locker room woes are well behind them. Well, maybe.

Sanchez asked wide receiver Santonio Holmes to be his Valentine on Tuesday, but has yet to receive an answer. Sanchez sent along a picture of some cookies that he presumably hoped to share with Holmes, but Holmes has not tweeted since Feb. 9.

While Sanchez and Jets fans hang in the balance, the tenuous quarterback-receiver relationship will continue to be questioned. After all, if the two Jets stars have gotten over last season's drama, why would they not share a romantic evening together?

Maybe Holmes is just jealous of Kate Upton.
