Report: Jonathan Toews Taken Away by Ambulance After Car Crash, While Police Held Back Autograph Seekers

Jonathan Toews has already been out of the Chicago Blackhawks lineup with a concussion. Now, things don't appear to be getting any better for the star forward, since Toews reportedly was in a one-car accident on Thursday morning and was taken away in an ambulance afterward.

Toews was driving his black AMG Mercedes-Benz and crashed into a support beam, according to CBS Chicago. The report indicates he was taken away in an ambulance and police had to stop passers-by from videotaping, taking pictures and asking Toews for autographs.

It does not appear at this time that Toews suffered any serious injury from the crash, which is good news for the Hawks in sore need of some after a recent nine-game losing streak.
