Peyton Manning is on the comeback trail. The quarterback is reportedly practicing with the Duke University football team while recovering from neck surgery.
Matt Skura, a lineman for the Blue Devils, actually broke the story inadvertedly by tweeting, "Got to stretch next to Peyton Manning today and say hello." After a little investigating, the Raleigh NBC affiliate confirmed the news but Skura has since deleted his account.
While it might seem random for Manning to pick the Durham, N.C. school, Duke head coach David Cutcliffe was actually Peyton's offensive coordinator at Tennessee and the two remain close.
Manning has only recently been cleared for a return to football activities, but may be a long way from getting back to his All-Pro form. This, at least, seems to be a start.
