Report: Rajon Rondo to Participate in Skills Contest, Replaces Injured Stephen CurryRajon Rondo began this week sitting out All-Star weekend after failing to be chosen to join the festivities in Orlando. Now, not only is the Celtics point guard playing in the game on Sunday, he will be joining in another event during the annual celebration.

Rondo has been chosen to replace Stephen Curry in the All-Star Saturday night Skills Competition, after the Warriors point guard had to sit out of the contest due to injury.

This announcement comes after Rondo was chosen to replace an injured Joe Johnson on the All-Star team on Wednesday.

The three-time All-Star will have a lot of competition in the skills challenge, as he will be going up against Russell Westbrook, John Wall, Deron Williams, Kyrie Irving and Tony Parker.

This won't be the first time that Rondo has taken part in an All-Star challenge. Rondo played on the sophomore team in the Rookie Challenge in 2008, and also participated in the All-Star Weekend H-O-R-S-E contest in 2010, which he lost to Kevin Durant.
