Tim Thomas, Bruins Battling Canucks For Best Stanley Cup Odds

The Boston Bruins continue to swing like a pendulum from good to bad.

The only thing consistent about the Bruins these days is that they're inconsistent. The Bruins are just 5-5 in their last 10 games and haven?t won two consecutive games since Jan 12. Will the B's be able to clean it up in time for the postseason? Bovada seems to think so, as they give the B's good odds to repeat as champs. Check out Bovada's odds to win the 2012 Stanley Cup below.

Vancouver Canucks: 6/1
Boston Bruins: 13/2

Thomas Still In The Firestorm
Bruins All-Star goaltender Tim Thomas just can't get out of the spotlight. After making a personal decision not to join his teammates in a visit to the White House, he's been criticized by the media non-stop.

Just when it looked like bygones would be bygones, Thomas got into the limelight again.

It all stemmed from Thomas' latest Facebook post, which came on Wednesday: "I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom."

The media continued to pepper Thomas with questions after last Thursday's practice and he threatened to cut the session short. Another question came and he did exactly that.

While the Bruins are a veteran team that are more than capable of ignoring the off-ice noise, the reality is that the team is struggling right now and any — and every — reason will be scrutinized.
