Home is where the heart is, but the Bruins’ just didn’t have enough to win this one.
The B’s couldn’t quite mesh with their new parts and pull together for a second straight win over the Senators. They were shut out again, 1-0, the fifth shutout against the Bruins this month. Luckily, February is on its way out.
As NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette reminds us, after all, the last time the Bruins had a bad month — remember October — they ripped off a historic stretch of games to propel themselves to the top of the standings. Hopefully history will repeat itself soon.
In the meantime, he’s giving Tim Thomas our “Home, Cooked” award for keeping the Bruins in a close one that could have very easily gotten away from them. Who’s your player of the game? Vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts on the game in the comments.
