The Red Sox starting rotation has been a carousel all Spring.
There's speculation that anyone from Daniel Bard to Alfredo Aceves to even minor-league pitcher Alex Wilson could find themselves in the rotation come Opening Day. Well, the decision time is right around the corner and Bobby Valentine has a host of players seemingly deserving for the nod.
Daniel Bard looks like a near lock after his dominating performance, pitching six innings and allowing just three runs, on Friday. Aaron Cook has had a solid Spring, as have both Aceves and Felix Doubront. The choice will be tough, but according to the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo it's Bard and Cook who deserve the nod more than anyone else.
Cafardo takes his pick at some of the key spots on the Sox roster and in the team's batting order, even suggesting prospect Ryan Lavarnway deserves to start the year with the big league club.
