Boston College will begin its quest for another Hockey East title on Friday night when the Eagles host UMass. They'll do so as the tournament's top seed as well as the top team in America.
The Eagles find themselves as the unanimous choice atop the USCHO.com Division I hockey poll released on Monday. Jerry York's squad received all 50 first-place votes after sweeping Vermont over the weekend to run their winning streak to 11 games.
While the Eagles held strong at No. 1, Boston University slid ever so slightly in the rankings. The Terriers split their weekend series with Northeastern, causing them to drop from No. 4 to No. 6 in this week's poll.
BC and BU are joined in the top 10 by UMass-Lowell (No. 7) and Maine (No. 10). Merrimack rounds out the Hockey East schools in the top 20, checking in at No. 14.
