It seems that whenever the Bruins need a boost of energy, it's been the team's Merlot Line that comes up big.
Daniel Paille might not have been in the lineup on Thursday, but the line's other two energetic members — Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell — helped to change the complexion of the contest by combining for a second-period goal.
Thornton let go a slap shot on a loose puck, which Campbell was able to tip past Buffalo goalie Johnas Enroth. The goal tied the score 1-1, and the the Bruins eventually went on to score two third-period goals to secure the win.
