Kentucky Wins State Battle Over Louisville, Kansas Slips Past Ohio State to Set NCAA Championship MatchupKansas and Kentucky have a date for Monday night.

They will play in the college basketball national championship after the Wildcats held off neighbor rival Louisville and Kansas came from behind to beat Ohio State on Saturday night.

The Cardinals pestered the Wildcats in the first matchup, drawing close enough to give tournament favorites Kentucky a scare. But the Wildcats inched ahead in the final four minutes to win, 69-61, and take its spot in the title game.

Across the bracket, Ohio State thwarted Kansas early with its stellar defense and 3-point sharpshooting, but the Jayhawks came out strong in the second half and chipped back from a nine-point deficit to hold off the Buckeyes in the end, 64-62.
