The Patriots have re-signed linebacker Niko Koutouvides to a one-year contract with a base salary of $825,000.
Koutouvides was primarily a special teamer in 2011, accumulating nine total special teams tackles and one fumble recovery.
Koutouvides will attempt to make the team in the same capacity in 2012.
Koutouvides' agent, Vance Malinovic, told NESN.com the two sides actually agreed to the contract over the weekend. It's a straightforward veteran-minimum deal.
