Fans at the Rangers-Devils game on Monday night got their money’s worth exactly one half of a second into the contest.

In classic New Jersey-New York hatred, Ryan Carter took on Stu Bickel, Cam Janssen dropped the mitts with Brandon Prust and Eric Boulton challenged Michael Rupp before the puck even hit the ice at the opening faceoff of Monday night’s game at Madison Square Garden.

Does this remind Bruins fans of any similar recent brawl battle?

Check out the scene below, where it appears Carter and Bickel exchanged the most devastating blows.
