Report: Brandon Meriweather to Visit Broncos on Tuesday

Brandon Meriweather is a player who goes through plenty of ups and downs, which is one of the reasons the Patriots cut ties with him last September.

The Denver Broncos apparently like his upside, though, as they'll be hosting the free-agent safety on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Meriweather, the 75th-rated free agent on Pro Football Talk's Hot 100 list, could give Denver the help it seeks at safety. However, he's been inconsistent throughout his career, despite being selected to two Pro Bowls (2009, 2010) as a member of the Patriots.

The 28-year-old played in 11 games — starting four — with the Bears last season, recording 32 total tackles and two passes defended.
