Back to Washington — where it may have all started.

The NFL is ready to investigate accusations that the bounty program Gregg Williams led as the defensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams was also in place when he served the same role with the Washington Redskins from 2004-2007, the Washington Post reports.

The NFL will hand out punishment if any of the evidence is clear enough to verify these accusations, according to the Post.

The NFL on Friday announced that New Orleans Saints players were involved with a bounty program with Williams at the helm.
