Steve Nash Expresses Interest in Joining Lebron James, Miami Heat This SummerSteve Nash has been widely considered one of the NBA’s top point guards for over a decade. He’s also been a loyal member of the Phoenix Suns for nearly that entire period of time.

It appears that Nash’s eight-year run with the Suns may be over after this season, though. And of all destinations, the two-time MVP is apparently interested in following in the footsteps of Lebron James and taking his talents to South Beach.

Nash, an eight-time All Star, has expressed his displeasure with the state of the Suns for some time now and it looks like that frustration may have finally boiled over.

“I’m not coming back to the Suns if there isn’t improvement,” Nash told The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday.

One of the most coveted free agents in the upcoming summer, Nash expressed his excitement for testing the waters and even mulled over a hypothetical move to join James and Dwyane Wade in Miami.

“I would listen,” Nash said. “He [James] is phenomenal. I love what they’re doing there. A lot of people don’t like them because they put all that talent there. But they’re professional, they play hard, they play together. Their coaching staff has done a great job, so I have a tremendous amount of respect for them.”

At the tail end of his career and still without a championship ring, it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock that the 38-year-old Nash would be interested in moving to a situation that’s already primed for championship glory.

The very likeable Nash’s reputation may take a slight hit with the change of sunny destinations, but a title to his name and ring resting cozy around his finger would certainly help take the edge off.
