The Bruins have won back-to-back games for the first time in almost two months, and it took a complete team effort to grind out a victory over the Sabres on Thursday.
The B's fell behind in the first period, and then were deadlocked with the Sabres through 40 minutes. However, Boston showed plenty of will to win, and Johnny Boychuk's rocket at 12:56 of the third period proved to be the game-winner.
Goaltender Tim Thomas, who had struggled a bit of late, talked about the team's effort on Thursday, saying that the B's played a complete game and took advantage of having fresh legs.
