Vote: Which Boston Sports Single-Game Record Is the Most Impressive?Friday marks the 50th anniversary of basketball great Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100 points in a single game. It is still an NBA record, and to honor Wilt the Stilt, here are some single-game records in Boston sports history that may never be broken.

Roger Clemens struck out 20 Mariners on a cold April night in 1986, setting a new single-game record for both the Red Sox and MLB. Then, he amazingly did it again ten years later in September 1996 against the Tigers. Although this record has since been tied by Kerry Wood and Randy Johnson (Johnson needed extra innings to fan 20 batters), it still stands today.

On March 12, 1985, Celtics legend Larry Bird dropped 60 points on the Atlanta Hawks. The career-highs for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen 50, 47 and 54, respectively.

Just this past season, Tom Brady added to his Hall of Fame resume by throwing for 517 yards against the Dolphins in Week One, including a 99-yard touchdown pass to Wes Welker. His performance ranks fifth in NFL history for most passing yards in one game and reached the top of the Patriots' record list in that category.

Bruins legend Bobby Orr tallied seven points in a 1973 game against the Rangers. Although the NHL record for points by one player in a game is 10, and three other players are tied with Orr, this mark has yet to be surpassed by another Bruin.

Have your say by voting below for the Boston sports single-game record that will be the toughest to surpass.
