It was raining glass at TD Garden on Saturday.
That's because defenseman Zdeno Chara leveled Marcus Johansson into the boards and shattered the glass during the first period of the Bruins' tilt with the Capitals.
A few B's fans were the recipients of the glass shower, but a subsequent thumbs up seemed to indicate that everything was OK. Play was momentarily stopped as the on-ice officials scanned the area. Eventually, it was determined that play could resume, though, with a bulk of the repair taking place during the first intermission.
