A Camden, N.J., aquarium has decided to take advantage of the penguins that inhabit the venue.
Now that the series between the Pennsylvania rivals Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins has officially started, the Adventure Aquarium needed to pick sides. The aquarium, which is about 10 minutes from Philadelphia, is going to name the penguins after current Flyers players and coaches, according to Puck Daddy.
For extra effect, the penguins will be named based on their personalities. "The penguin showing the most leadership skills will become [Claude] 'Giroux,' " said Kim Walker, public relations manager for the aquarium.
Among the Flyers being honored with a penguin named after them are Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Ilya Bryzgalov, Max Talbot, Sean Couturier, Danny Briere, Kimmo Timonen, Bayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds and Jaromir Jagr.
