Fenway Park Open House Welcomes Almost 54,000 Fans, Others Wait for Red Sox-Yankees GameRed Sox fans should be proud of this.

Nearly 54,000 people were in attendance for the free Open House at Fenway Park on Thursday.

The park was open for 10 hours while fans were able to be a part of history, sitting in the dugouts, walked the warning track, touched the Green Monster and even peeked inside the historic manual scoreboard.

Fans were welcomed by current players and alumni from the Red Sox throughout the day. Dustin Pedroia, Darnell McDonald and Daniel Bard were in attendance from the 2012 roster for signings. Former Red Sox players included Frank Malzone, John Tudor, Bernie Carbo, and Oil Can Boyd, who were all available for autographs.

Red Sox Nation should be happy not only of this event, but also for the 100th Anniversary game on Friday, April 20, against the New York Yankees at 3:05 p.m. ET.
