The NBA: Where Flopping Happens.
If there's one thing that most NBA fans hate more than LeBron James, it's flopping. So when James hit the deck during Saturday's Heat-Knicks first-round clash, it sent the Twitter world into a frenzy.
James' apparent flop came as the second quarter was winding down. With New York bringing the ball up the floor, Knicks center Tyson Chandler set a screen that sent James tumbling to the ground as if he'd been shot.
The screen was undoubtedly a bit hard, and Chandler — at 7-foot-1, 240 pounds — is a very large man. But James is a big guy in his own right, so watching him go down so emphatically on a pick raised a few eyebrows, especially since it led to a flagrant foul on Chandler.
In other words, as bad as the flop was, the call was worse. And unfortunately for Knicks fans, their team was even worse than both of those combined.
