Nicklas Backstrom will have reason to be happy this weekend, when his suspension is lifted and he returns to the Washington Capitals lineup against the Bruins.
Earlier this week, we asked fans to send in their altered versions of a photo where Backstrom looked pretty pleased with himself. After sorting through the entries, we found some of the best ones. Check them out below.
NESN.com reader Rocky Mix thinks that Backstrom would be happiest playing with Legos, and possibly leading the way through the Mines of Moria.
Another reader, Dan Sensale, suggested that Backstrom might be happy getting shot out of a cannon. Perhaps the Capitals center wants to run away and join the circus?
In either case, here’s hoping Backstrom and the rest of the Washington team don’t have much to be happy about after the Bruins play in Games 5 and 6.
