Don’t have tickets to be a part of Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary celebration on Friday? Well, keep your head up and you might just find yourself at the park to see the Red Sox take on the rival New York Yankees.
Members of the Red Sox front office and Wally the Green Monster will be placing 100 balloons in neighborhoods all across Boston to help commemorate Fenway Parks’ 100th anniversary.
Each of the 100 balloons will signify the Red Sox’ 100 years in Fenway Park, and each balloon will contain a pair of tickets to an upcoming Red Sox game. Five of the balloons will contain a pair of tickets for the 100th anniversary game against the Yankees on Friday, April 20.
The balloons will be randomly placed in neighborhoods around Boston, and it is the fans job to find them.
The “balloon blitz” will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18. No more than 10 balloons will be out at any one given time.
So keep your eyes out for balloons on Wednesday, and you might just be lucky enough to participate in the special Red Sox anniversary celebration.
