Report: Bobby Valentine to Make Weekly Appearances on 'The Michael Kay Show'Throughout his first spring training as Red Sox manager, Bobby Valentine hasn't shied away from expressing his opinion on the Yankees.

Now, he'll get the chance to speak directly to New York's fanbase all season, as the Boston skipper signed a deal to make weekly appearances on ESPN-1050's The Michael Kay Show, the New York Daily News reported on Wednesday.

"The idea of getting Bobby intrigued them [ESPN-1050]," a radio source said. "And since he already had worked for ESPN [Valentine's last stop was ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball booth] a relationship was already established."

During the weekly segments, Valentine will be interviewed by Michael Kay, the Yankees' TV color commentator.

Valentine, who's familiar with the Big Apple from his seven seasons as Mets manager, will make his first appearance at 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday. It marks the first time a non-New York manager has signed a contract with the radio station.
