The duo of Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo in the broadcast booth has become a staple for Red Sox games over the years.
But on Monday night, former Twins shortstop Roy Smalley III replaced Remy in the booth for the call of the Red Sox-Twins game on NESN.
Remy was "under the weather" prior to Monday night's game, according to the NESN broadcast. Smalley will instead be teaming with Don to bring fans all of the action from Target Field.
Smalley played 13 seasons in the major leagues, including 10 with the Twins, batting .257 with 163 home runs and 694 RBIs in his career.
Remy is hoping to return to the booth to call the second game of the series on Tuesday.
