FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots right guard Brian Waters has one year remaining on his contract, but he hasn't publicly announced whether or not he'll return or retire.
However, Waters has not been at Gillette Stadium this week for voluntary workouts, according to a source. With that, though, the source said it has nothing to do with his decision on his football future.
Waters has a wife and six children at home in Dallas, and he has traditionally skipped the voluntary workouts to spend more time with them.
With all that said, don't take Waters' absence from workouts as a sign that he's leaning toward retirement. Expect Waters back in the fold for the 2012.
