Horses, apparently, are very good swimmers.

An Arabian show horse named Air of Temptation was rescued after swimming three miles into the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday, apparently after being spooked during a photo shoot on a California beach.

The seven-year-old stallion was tracked down by a Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol team led by Ryan Kelly, which was very lucky to track down Mr. Temptation.

“It was a real needle-in-a-haystack kind of find,” Kelly told msnbc.com. “He looked like every other bird that was just sitting on the water.”
