So, is the craze now over?
Both the Harvard baseball and SMU women’s crew teams have gone viral in the past few weeks, with each posting lip sync videos of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe.” The videos have taken off to the tune of millions of views on YouTube and a ton of exposure for both programs.
That exposure reached new heights on Thursday morning when both teams made appearances on The Today Show.
It was all good fun, as both teams got into their vans and recreated their viral wonders to see who could do it better. Of course, the folks at Today ruled it a tie. The real winners, though, are the viewers who got to see Al Roker get it on the fun.
See it below.
“Guys had complaints tonight and I was with them. We’ve got to fight through it, that’s for sure. We’re trying our hardest, and I think they’re trying their hardest, too.”
