Tyler Seguin Feeling Good After Hand Surgery, Looking to Add 'Man Strength' Over Summer (Video)Tyler Seguin was forced to embrace the summertime much earlier than he did last season, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

The Bruins forward would obviously rather still be playing, but the B’s first-round exit from the playoffs does give him a chance to get some maintenance work done and prepare for next season.

The first step in that came recently when Seguin underwent hand surgery to help repair a tendon in his left hand. He returned to Boston recently to have it examined, and he chatted with the team website for a little bit as well.

Seguin said that he feels good following the surgery, and he’s eager to get back to working out. The recovery process, he says, is a 10-week process. Once that is done, he’ll be able to get back to lifting and working out as hard as he wants, something he said he’s focused on doing this summer. More specifically, Seguin is looking to increase his core strength in an attempt to be even stronger on the puck and in the dirty areas of the ice.
