Bryce Harper Using 'Clown Question Bro' Beer to Help Out Good CauseHis new slogan might be the epitome of all things ridiculous, but it turns out that when it comes to helping others, Bryce Harper isn't clowning around, bro.

After recently trademarking his slogan, "That's a clown question, bro," Harper is now using the cult-like infamy of those words to do some good in the Denver area.

The Denver Beer Co., owned by Charlie Berger, capitalized on the now trademarked phrase by producing its own brew, fittingly titled "Clown Question Bro." After catching wind of this, Harper's camp contacted Berger to discuss the profits of the beer sales. A chunk of the proceeds will now go to a fallen policewoman's memorial fund.

"It's exciting to hear from Bryce," Berger said. "We were making this beer just for fun."

After hearing about the killing of Officer Celena Hollis, a veteran policewoman raising a 12-year-old daughter on her own, Harper suggested that a portion of the proceeds from the sales go to a foundation to help support Officer Hollis' daughter.

"We never thought it would pick up to this extent," Berger said. "First of all, we're definitely flattered. More important, the fact that he was making a lot of good come from it, it's valiant. It says something about Bryce."

The slogan, of course, came from when a reporter in Toronto asked Harper what brand of beer he would be legally enjoying after his first game north of the border — where the drinking age is 19. Harper responded and, well, the rest is clown history.

With the rising attention the slogan is getting, hopefully there will also be a rising awareness to the noble cause Harper is supporting.
