Red Sox Stop the Bleeding in Chicago, End Successful Road Trip With Huge Win
The Carolina League was just not enough competition for 22-year-old Jackie Bradley Jr., so now the Red Sox prospect finds himself in Portland with the Sea Dogs in Double-A.
Quite frankly, Bradley had owned Salem, throwing up a slash line of .480/.526 /1.006, nunbers even more impressive given the fact that Bradley only hit three home runs — but notched 26 doubles and two triples. Bradley also stole 16 bases (in 22 attempts), and can use his speed to his advantage in the outfield, getting good jumps on the ball and showing great range. In fact, Bradley is also making a huge impact in Portland, with six hits in his first four games.
Watch the video above to get to know Bradley before you undoubtedly see him roaming the Fenway outfield.
