The Los Angeles Kings organization has been pretty gracious so far in celebrating the team's first Stanley Cup victory. Their fans, however, are dialing up the smug factor.
One enterprising Kings fan, perhaps taking a cue from the team's' notorious smack-talking Twitter feed, bought a classified ad in the Newark Star-Ledger on Monday to rub it in for Devils fans.
"Dear Devils fans," the ad reads with a picture of the Kings logo, "Better luck next year. Sincerely, L.A. Kings fan."
That's pouring salt in the wound, considering the news that the Devils are reportedly in danger of being taken over by the NHL. Not that there's ever a good time to be a sore winner.
