Wasn’t it just a matter of time before a movie was made about the “Dream Team?”
As often as the phrase “Dream Team” gets thrown around, the 1992 United States men’s Olympic baskeball team is the only one deserving of that title. And NBA TV has made a movie about it.
The team, which featured Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and a slew of other NBA All-Stars, dominated the 1992 Olympics, but the road they traveled was an interesting one.
Intense practices and off-the-court issues thickened the plot of their run at the gold medal. The collection of superstar personalities made for a unique dynamic rarely seen in sports.
The Dream Team is set to premiere on NBA TV on June 13 at 9 p.m.
