Peter Chiarelli and the Boston Bruins weren't expecting to get much when selecting at the back end of Friday night's NHL draft. But when all was finished, the team was very pleased with their selection.
Malcolm Subban, a young goalie and brother of Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban, was the Bruins selection at No. 24 of Friday's first round. The netminder gives the B's some depth at the position moving forward and presents an interesting case, as he's got the agility and athleticism sought after in a top-tier goalie.
