Of the many questions asked about the Red Sox these days, few are asked more than "What does the future hold for Kevin Youkilis?"
The infielder has been the subject of trade rumors and speculation since his return from the disabled list, especially given the emergence of Will Middlebrooks, who was called up to replace the injured Youkilis.
Now, with Youkilis back in the mix, Bobby Valentine has been left to shuffle his lineup in an attempt to get playing time for Youkilis, Middlebrooks and Adrian Gonzalez, who has spent time in right field to help accommodate Youkilis.
However, with the trade deadline now in sight, the speculation is expected to intensify. Boston general manager Ben Cherington certainly has a difficult decision in front of him.
