Report: Pablo Sandoval Faces Investigation for Possible Sexual Assault CaseTalk about trouble off the field.

San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is facing an investigation for sexual assault, as reported by FOX News Latino.

April Skalland, deputy sheriff of the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department, said the investigation is ongoing.

"No charges have been filed. He was not arrested. He was not detained," Skalland told FOX News Latino. "He was interviewed with his lawyer present, and he cooperated."

The slugger was staying at a resort in the Monterey Bay Peninsula area, about an hour and a half from San Francisco. Sandoval's lawyer, Eric Geffon, said the encounter took place Friday. Reports say that Sandoval has been cooperative during the investigation.

Sandoval is hitting .316 with five homers and 15 RBIs this season but is currently on the disabled list after having hand surgery May 4.
