It took a while, but a verdict finally came down in the Roger Clemens perjury case late Monday afternoon.
The former pitcher was found not guilty on all six counts, according to Jim Baumbach of Newsday via Twitter. Clemens was on trial for counts of perjury, making false statements and obstructing justice.
Clemens was looking at 15-21 months, had he been found guilty of the charges.
Closing arguments were heard last Tuesday in the trial that was to determine whether or not Clemens lied to Congress in 2008 about performance-enhancing drugs.
