Buster Posey is one of the best young catchers in baseball. But he doesn’t have enough All-Star votes for his team’s liking, so the Giants are launching a rap video campaign to get him in.
The team released a music video featuring the stylings of rapper E-40 (a.k.a. Earl Stevens) called “Vote 25 On It,” urging fans to go online and vote for their prospective All-Stars. If you recognize the beat, it’s from Luniz’s classic 1995 hit “I Got 5 On It.”
Since the Giants are in the National League, we Red Sox fans don’t need to worry about Posey taking any votes away from our guy, Jarrod Saltalamacchia. So take a look and a listen to see if E-40 can sway your All-Star vote.
