It is hard enough to find good grits in New England. Trying to find grits with a worthwhile side of balls is even harder.
For the duration of the Celtics’ playoff run, though, The Living Room in the North End is offering a $5 “Grits and Balls” dish in honor of the number worn by Kevin Garnett, who declared during the first round of the playoffs that his team has “grit and balls.”
Executive chef Matt Piuma‘s “Grits and Balls” dish features smoked turkey grits with cheddar cheese and sage turkey meatballs, so it should be decidedly tastier than the “grit and balls” Garnett was referring to.
