Garnett, who recently turned 36 years old, averaged a double-double during the 2012 NBA playoffs and provided the Celtics with a defensive presence down low.
But Garnett's contract has expired, and the future of the Celtics is in flux. Ray Allen's deal is also up, and Paul Pierce isn't getting any younger. The days of the Big Three could be finished in Boston.
Of the three, Garnett appears to have the most left in the tank and will be sought after on the open market. Will another contending team outbid the Celtics, or will general manager Danny Ainge and company invest in the big man for another season and beyond?
The upcoming offseason figures to be an interesting one in Boston, and Garnett's free agency will be what sets it all in motion.
What do you think? Will Kevin Garnett return to the Celtics next season?
