The hand that U.S. soccer star Abby Wambach took to the eye in Saturday’s win over Colombia had some people saying, “That’s going to leave a mark.”
They were right.
One day after shaking off a nasty smack to her face and scoring in a 3-0 win for U.S. Women’s Soccer, Wambach put a photo of her roughed-up mug on Twitter. While the swelling is not as bad as it could be, she does have some new coloring.
